Stuart Ward Founder
Stuart began his career in corporate sales working in the chemical and environmental industries. As an entrepreneur at heart, he saw the potential for a new landscaping company in the North Atlanta metro area. Although there were many companies serving the market at that time, none took a truly professional approach to the business. By leveraging his experience in business with his passion for landscaping design he founded Buckhead Turfcare, LLC (now Buckhead Landscape and Design) in 1996.
Stuart Ward is designated a Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) through PLANET and is a Certified Pesticide Applicator in the state of Georgia. His favorite plants are the Camellia and the Mexican Petunia, and his favorite part of living in Atlanta is all the activities the city has to offer, such as the great concerts and events he attends with his wife.
Andrew Ward Owner
As General Manager, Andrew is relentlessly focused on exceeding customer expectations. A self-described perfectionist, Andrew manages the company’s day-to-day operations and is also involved in every project from start to finish. It’s important to him that no detail is overlooked because he understands how important it is to his clients. Andrew got his start in the industry as a chemical technician, but his passion for creating beautiful landscapes and outdoor living spaces eventually led him to pursue certifications in plant identification as well as hand-drawn, AutoCAD, and DynaScape design. He’s also a licensed CAT24 pesticide applicator and certified paver installer. While the summer heat can be brutal, Andrew does appreciate Atlanta for a climate that gives him the opportunity to use a wide variety of plant species within the landscapes he creates. His favorite plants are Spider Web Fatsia and Yuletide Camellia.
Christian Mendoza Production Manager
Bringing 16 years of hands-on experience in landscape maintenance and installation, Christian plays a key role in turning design visions into reality. He approaches each property with care and foresight, always planning the next seasonal steps alongside his colleagues to keep every landscape looking its best year-round.
When he’s not on the clock, he’s still talking plants — trading ideas on design and technique, ever curious about ways to enhance green spaces. A fan of classic southern-style ornamentals, his personal favorites are the graceful ginkgo tree, along with vibrant azaleas and elegant camellias.
Quietly dependable and deeply passionate about his craft, Christian delivers the steady leadership and know-how our clients — and our landscaping team — rely on.
JACKSON MARTINEZ Account Manager
With a lifelong passion for the outdoors, Jackson began working in landscaping at just fourteen years old and has built his career from the ground up. His experience spans landscape maintenance, property management, and leading teams across a wide range of residential and commercial environments. Jackson brings a steady mix of practical field knowledge and thoughtful service, ensuring every property he oversees is cared for with precision and pride.
As a father, he understands the value of creating safe, inviting spaces for families and communities. David Medina Account Manager
With over eight years of experience in the landscaping industry, David brings a deep understanding of field operations, crew management, and the day-to-day coordination required to keep projects on track. His background allows him to support teams effectively, streamline workflows, and strengthen the overall efficiency of each job.
David’s approach is grounded in communication, consistency, and a commitment to helping crews perform at their best.

Nick Tully Project Manager
With more than a decade of experience in the landscape industry, Nick brings a well-rounded perspective shaped by work on residential properties, HOAs, CIDs, commercial sites, and government contracts. For the past five years, he has served in a project management role, directing crews, coordinating timelines, and ensuring installations meet the highest standards. His strong technical background—especially in drainage solutions and plant installation—allows him to bridge hands-on field expertise with organized, detail-focused project oversight.
Outside the job site, Nick channels his creativity into woodworking. Whether crafting cutting boards, jewelry boxes, or custom pieces from a variety of wood species, he brings the same precision, patience, and craftsmanship that define his professional approach.
Don Foglesong Estimator
With close to twenty years of experience in the landscape industry in both account management and project coordination, Don has in-depth knowledge of both landscape management and project design and installation. He loves to start from nothing and bring a yard to life with new sod and complimentary plants and trees. Don also loves taking on the challenge of creating an outdoor living space that no one thought possible, complete with barbecue grill and fire pit. He holds a certificate in plant identification and is a licensed turfcare applicator. As a lover of the outdoors, in his free time he enjoys taking motorcycle rides with his wife, and his favorite thing about Atlanta is watching the seasons change. His favorite plants are Limelight Hydrangeas and Azaleas.
Fernando Martinez Estimator
With over a decade of experience in the green industry, Fernando brings a deep passion for the outdoors to every project he touches. From initial design to final installation, he’s hands-on throughout the process — but plants remain his true love. A Georgia Certified Plant Professional, Fernando combines technical knowledge with creative vision to bring landscapes to life.
Born in Panama City, Panama, he has explored much of Latin America and spent nearly 10 years living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Outside of work, he’s an avid soccer fan, hiker, and cyclist. Whether he's kayaking or riding the Silver Comet Trail, Fernando finds inspiration in nature — and he’s dedicated to helping clients find that same connection in their own outdoor spaces.
